2019 Chevrolet Cruze

<p>The 2019 Chevrolet Cruze is available in two different body styles: a sedan or hatchback. Both body styles are available in four different trim levels — the LS, LT, Premier, and Diesel — but the sedan also comes in a base-level L trim.</p><p>The L and LS sedans both come equipped with 15-inch steel wheels with bolt-on covers, daytime running lights, body-colored door handles, and a solar-absorbing windshield and windows. The two LT trims bump the wheels up to 16-inch aluminum and add halogen headlights, a compact spare tire, and LED daytime running lamps. Both Premier trims come with 17-inch aluminum wheels, heated power mirrors, and LED taillights. Finally, the Diesel trim comes with 16-inch aluminum wheels and the convenience package, which includes heated power-adjustable mirrors and keyless open and start capabilities. And all the hatchbacks add a rear spoiler.</p>

The 2019 Chevrolet Cruze possesses the perfect amount of power. All trim levels, except the Diesel, come equipped with a 1.4-liter turbo ECOTEC four-cylinder engine that puts out 153 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque. The engine is slightly different in the diesel models, which have a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel ECOTEC four-cylinder engine that produces 137 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque.

The Chevrolet Cruze's 1.4-liter engine comes equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, and the 1.6-liter diesel engine comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and all trim levels come with front-wheel drive and StabiliTrak electronic stability control with traction control.

<p>The interior of the Cruze features a pleasant mix of comfort and technology. Both body styles have enough room to comfortably seat five people, but the cargo space in the hatchback trims varies. With the back seat up, you have 22.7 cubic feet of space available; but once the seat is folded down, the open space increases to 47.2 cubic feet.</p><p>The car comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, and each trim includes a driver information center that can be personalized to add warning messages and other relevant information. Further, keep backseat passengers entertained by their tablets during road trips, with a universal tablet holder that is available for the LS trim. The LT, Diesel, and Premier trims also offer this option but with power included to ensure movies and games don't end because the battery dies before you reach your destination.</p>

<p>Safety features vary in the Cruze. All body styles and trims come with 10 air bags, a rear-vision camera, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and Chevrolet Connected Access with 10-year standard connectivity. The Diesel trim comes standard with a lane-change alert system and a side blind-spot alert to let drivers know when other cars are approaching as they change lanes. </p><p>hese systems, along with rear cross-traffic alert and rear park assist, are also available as an add-on for the LT and Premier trims. The Premier and Diesel models also offer many other safety upgrades. And parents can relax as their teen drivers get behind the wheel of the Cruze, as the car includes teen-driver technology that you can program to limit certain features — it can even give you a report card on their driving habits.</p>
