2019 Chevrolet Equinox

<p>The 2019 trims offered several choices with an array of standard features and optional packages. Buyers can choose from the L, LS, LT, and Premium trims. </p><p>The crossover SUV is a combination of smooth lines in its design coupled with curves, a distinctive rear window design, chrome exhaust outlets, and a two-tiered grille. A choice in headlight types depending on the trim include LEDs, HIDs, and halogens enhance the stylistic body design.</p>

<p>The Equinox comes with a standard 1.5 liter turbo-4 with a six-speed automatic transmission producing 170 horsepower. For more push and power, the Premier and LT are available with a choice of one of two engines. </p><p>The first is a 2.0 liter turbo-4 with a nine-speed automatic transmission capable of 252 horsepower. The other option is a 1.6-liter turbo diesel four-cylinder with a six-speed automatic producing 137 horsepower with an estimated fuel economy from the EPA of 39 miles per gallon.</p>

<p>The easy driving of the crossover supports accurate handling, a sporty attitude, maneuverability, and a quiet drive. Most of the Equinox trims offers all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive capability. </p><p>Performance wise, the 1.6-liter turbo diesel has a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds and 240 pound-feet of torque at 2,000 rpm. The 2.0 liter can tow 3,500 pounds and has 260 pound-feet of torque</p><p>The EPA fuel economy estimate is 26 miles per gallon in the city, 32 mpg on the highway, for a combined rating of 28 mpg. To support fuel economy, the direct injection fuel system of the Equinox can be adjusted to operate in two-wheel drive mode. </p>

<p>A spacious interior provides ample five-passenger seating with plenty of space on the three-seat rear bench. Depending on the trim, the interior is fitted with durable cloth or leather upholstery. Optional heated and air-conditioned front cloth seats add to the comfort level. The cargo area is equally spacious when the seats are folded to expand the area from 30 cubic feet to 63.5 cubic feet. </p><p>Infotainment is available with compatibility for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 7- or 8-inch touch screen. If tinted rear windows, Bose speakers, navigation, and a power adjustable driver's seat is a preference, each feature is available in one of the separate packages. </p>

<p>Driver and passengers ride safer with front and rear side air bags, front side body air bag, and child rear door safety locks. Vehicle safety includes ABS brakes, back-up camera, daytime running lights, and stability control. </p><p>A standard safety feature on the Equinox Premier is blind spot monitoring, which is also available on the L and LS trims. The Premier and LT trims have the option of active lane control, adaptive cruise control, low-speed automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and automatic high beam headlights. </p>
