2019 Chevrolet Suburban

<p>The 2019 Suburban is available in three trims: LT, LS, and Premier. With its length of 220 inches long, the crossover is packed with plenty of room for passenger and driver comfort plus ample storage room for luggage, gear, and equipment.</p><p>Updates to the exterior include innovatively designed headlights, chrome grille, and 22-inch alloy wheels available in the RST Performance Package. The Z71 package includes all-terrain tires and detailed bumpers for an off-the-road attitude.</p>

The 2019 models are powered by the base 5.3-liter V-8 or the 6.2-liter V-8 available as part of the Premier Plus Special Edition Package or the RST Performance Package. The smaller V-8 produces 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. For added pep, the 6.2-liter amps up to 420-horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.

<p>Performance-wise, the four-wheel-drive and two-wheel-drive Suburban handles well. Its powerful engine, coupled with the optional Magnetic Ride Control suspension and either the six-speed or the 10-speed automatic transmission, provides a solid ride. The Suburban's exhaust flow and the braking system can be enhanced with the optional performance dual-side exit exhaust system and Brembo brakes. </p><p>The estimated EPA rating for the two-wheel-drive 5.3-liter engine is 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway for a combined fuel rating of 18 mpg. With four-wheel-drive, fuel economy is 14 mpg city and 21 mpg highway for overall fuel economy of 16 mpg. Suburbans can operate on ethanol-enhanced fuel with an estimated fuel economy of 13 mpg for two-wheel-drive and 12 mg for four-wheel-drive.</p>

<p>The spacious interior feels more like the well-defined car with its expansive area fitted with upscale enhancements. Trims come with a variety of standard and optional features and packages that offer high-quality cloth or leather upholstery, a powered hands-free liftgate, adaptive cruise control, and keyless ignition.</p><p>For seating comfort, the Suburban offers the option of front bucket seats or front bench seating, which provides room for nine passengers. The second-row bench seat is power-folded, allowing easier access to third-row seating. Available features also include power adjustable front seats, heated front seats, ventilated front seats, and three-zone climate control. </p><p>The cargo area with all seats upright has nearly 40 cubic feet behind the third-row seat. With the third-row seats folded flat, the storage area expands to 77 cubic feet. With both the second and third-row seats folded flat, the Suburban's storage area increases to 122 cubic feet. To stay plugged in and entertained, available features include a Bose audio system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. </p>

<p>Safety features in place for the 2019 trims include seven air bags, which includes a front center air bag for trims with traditional eight-passenger seating. </p><p>Depending on the trim, available safety features as part of the Enhanced Driver Alert Package include active lane control, automatic high beam headlights, blind spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking at low speeds. Stability control and anti-lock brakes are standard equipment on each trim.</p>
