2019 Chevrolet Traverse

With its easy-flowing lines and the compact appearance of the grille, there's simply nothing superfluous on the exterior of the Traverse. Fog lights are neatly tucked away underneath and don't disrupt the flow of movement. Drivers choose between seven different trims with the entry-level model starting at $30,925 and the full-package deal at $53,995. The available trims are the Traverse L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country.

The Traverse offers two different engines, the first being the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder option. This engine has variable valve timing and includes stop/start technology for convenience and to reduce fuel consumption. The second available engine is the 3.6-liter V-6 engine, which has the same tech as the 2.0-liter but adds a bit more power. Drivers can choose between all-wheel and front-wheel drive.

The 2.0-liter gives drivers up to 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, but it's only available with the RS front-wheel-drive model. Fuel consumption for this engine is 20 miles per gallon in the city and 26 on the highway. The remaining trims have the 3.6-liter engine standard, which pushes out 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. Drivers can expect 17 miles per gallon in the city and 25 on the highway.

<p>Technology is in no short supply in the Traverse line. It kicks things off with a Bose premium audio sound system and has the Chevrolet Infotainment System, which includes navigation and an 8-inch color touch screen. A universal home remote comes standard, and wireless charging is available as an option on the High Country trim. OnStar and Chevrolet Connected services are available, and the Chevrolet Connected access is part of the package for 10 years of standard connectivity. It also has a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot.</p><p>Comfort is a top priority, as well. The models include tri-zone automatic climate control and an interior humidity sensor. Comfort continues with the heated driver and front passenger seats and the heated rear outboard seats in the High Country.</p>

<p>Safety is a top priority for Chevrolet. In the High Country, the following distance indicator is a must-have when doing lots of high-traffic traveling. The High Country also features superior features such as forward automatic braking and front pedestrian braking. Lane change alert with side blind zone alert, a rear camera mirror, and rear cross traffic alert are standard across all trims.</p><p>The Chevrolet Traverse dazzled us with its grandiose display of impressive features since its debut in 2009, and 2019 seems to be another exceptional year for the range.
