2021 Chevrolet Equinox

Available in L, LS, LT, and Premier trim levels, the 2021 Chevy Equinox features bold front-end styling, a flowing aerodynamic profile, and a sporty rear end that makes it stand out from the crowd. L and LS trims have keyless entry, LED daytime running lights, heated power mirrors, color-keyed door handles, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The LT offers bright trim, xenon headlamps, color-keyed mirrors, and deep-tinted rear glass. Stepping up to the Premier trim gets you LED headlamps, fog lights, chrome door handle inserts, chrome-capped auto-dimming mirrors with turn signals, 18-inch wheels, chrome roof rails, a hands-free power liftgate, and LED tail lamps.

Under the hood is a punchy turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. It features stop/start technology and is matched with a slick-shifting six-speed electronically-controlled automatic transmission with overdrive and driver shift control.

The turbo engine offers lively, fun performance, whether you're zipping around the city streets, cruising on the highway, or tackling the twisty back roads. You'll get up to 26 mpg and 31 mpg for city and highway driving.

Front-wheel drive is standard, and all but the L trim are available with switchable all-wheel drive (AWD). Under normal conditions, the system drives just the front wheels, but you'll be alerted to switch to AWD mode for optimal traction in slippery conditions.

The Equinox's stylish contemporary cabin seats five in comfort and offers 29.9 cubic feet of luggage space. Folding the rear seats flat gives you a generous cargo area of 63.9 cubic feet, and an underfloor compartment provides safe storage for valuables.

Inside the spacious L trim, you'll find premium cloth seating, a tilting-and-telescoping steering column, push-button start, cruise control, air conditioning, and front and rear 12-volt power outlets.

The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system features Bluetooth, voice activation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, a 7-inch touch screen, USB data and charging ports, and a six-speaker sound system.

The LT trim offers a power-adjustable driver's seat, rear seat release levers, and satellite radio. The top-of-the-range Premier features remote start, perforated leather seating, heated front seats, driver memory functions, dual-zone climate control, a leather-bound steering wheel, ambient lighting, an 8-inch HD touch screen, an SD card reader, wireless charging, and a 120-volt power outlet.

All Equinox models come standard with Chevy Safety Assist, which offers a following distance indicator, forward collision alert with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane departure alert, and automatic high beams.

Additional standard features include a rearview camera, rear-seat reminder, teen driver functions, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Premier models add rear parking sensors, lane change warning, side blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic warning, and an automatic dimming rearview mirror.
