2021 Chevrolet Suburban

You can choose from six trims with the 2021 Suburban: the LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. The base trim is well-equipped with black assist steps, deep-tinted glass, 18-inch aluminum wheels, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, and bright roof-mounted side rails. In addition, you'll also get rain-sensing wipers, upper active aero shutters, LED headlights and taillights, and LED daytime running lights. With the LT trim comes a hands-free power liftgate, while the RST trim features wheel locks, 22-inch aluminum wheels, and black roof-mounted side rails.

The Z71 trim is equipped with off-road-ready features such as all-terrain tires, tow hooks, and skid plates, while the Premier trim features a driver-side auto-dimming rearview mirror and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. With the range-topping High Country trim, you'll get aesthetic upgrades like a special grille with bronze accents and 22-inch Sterling Silver premium painted wheels.

You can choose from three engines with the new Suburban, all of which are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The standard 5.3-liter V-8 engine generates 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, while an available 6.2-liter V-8 engine delivers an output of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. If you prefer diesel power, go for the optional Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine, which generates 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. All trims come standard with rear-wheel drive, while four-wheel drive is optional. One exception is the Z71 trim, which features a four-wheel-drive system exclusively.

The new standard independent rear suspension of the Suburban delivers improved ride quality and handling response. A first-class Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension is also available with the High Country and Z71 trims. With this system, you can adjust the ride height of the Suburban according to the driving conditions. When you're driving over rough terrain, for instance, the Suburban's height can be raised to provide more clearance.

The longer wheelbase and lower floor of the new Suburban provide increased passenger and cargo capacity. Behind the second row is a generous cargo area of 41.5 cubic feet, which you can extend to a maximum of 144.7 cubic feet with all rear seats folded down. A power-sliding center console, which can slide back up to 10 inches, provides convenient extra storage space.

The standard infotainment system offers all the latest technology, including a 10.2-inch display, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, HD Radio, and six speakers. In addition, the base trim is equipped with a long list of convenient features. These include an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats, power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, tri-zone automatic climate control, and keyless open and start. Higher trims add luxuries like wireless charging, a nine-speaker Bose system, memory settings, leather upholstery, a head-up display, and heated rear seats.

The new Suburban offers impressive standard safety and driver-assist systems. These include a following distance indicator, a rear parking sensor, a rearview camera, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and automatic emergency braking.
