2023 Chevrolet Traverse

The Traverse lineup starts with the LS trim. It has 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, and heated side exterior mirrors. A step up to the LT Cloth adds foglights and roof rails, while the LT Leather adds a power liftgate. Choose the RS for 20-inch dark finished alloy wheels and black exterior trim elements, or opt for the upscale Premier for chrome door handles and a hands-free liftgate. At the top of the lineup, the High Country comes with a panoramic sunroof and a trailer hitch.

Power for all Traverse models comes from a 3.6-liter V-6 gas engine. It puts out 310 horsepower and works with Chevy's nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive comes standard, but you can get all-wheel drive with any of the trims.

The V-6 provides plenty of power for the Traverse, propelling it over most roads with ease, while the suspension keeps the ride comfortable without being too soft. Acceleration feels quick and strong, and this SUV will confidently pass other vehicles on the highway. When equipped with the available tow package, the Traverse can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

There's room for up to eight in the LS trim with its second-row bench seat, and up to seven fit in the rest of the lineup, which has second-row captain's chairs. It comes standard with cloth upholstery and triple-zone automatic climate control. The LT Cloth adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and power-adjustable driver's seat, while the LT Leather has a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable passenger seat, leather upholstery, and heated front seats. You can also get memory settings for the driver's seat in the higher trims, along with ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. Technology features in the Traverse start with a 7-inch touch screen, a Wi-Fi hot spot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and USB ports. Wireless charging comes in the LT Cloth and above, and if you keep moving up through the lineup, you can get an 8-inch high-definition touch screen, a 4.2-inch driver information screen, and a 10-speaker stereo system.

No matter which Traverse you have, it will come standard with several advanced driver aids. Even the entry-level trim comes with forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, rear parking sensors, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking. Add the LT Premium Package to the LT for a digital rearview mirror that enables the driver to see out the back of the vehicle even when the cargo area is fully loaded. This package also includes adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree top-down surround-view camera system, and an enhanced automatic emergency braking system that works at higher speeds.
