Chevrolet has a wide range of vehicles, including various SUVs for every driving need. One of those SUVs is the Chevrolet Traverse. The Traverse was initially introduced for the 2009 model year. The first version was built to deliver a sedan-like ride while also giving drivers the elevated driving position and flexible passenger and cargo space that make SUVs a popular choice. At that time, it offered three trim levels and a dependable V6 engine to help drivers get from point A to point B in no time at all.
Today’s Chevrolet Traverse is part of the third generation, which was introduced for 2024. It gives you the option of four trim levels, each offering a long list of advanced technology and safety features. Additionally, you’ll find that the newest version stays true to its roots by providing you with a smooth ride, responsive handling, and plenty of room for everything and everyone. You can see the latest Chevy Traverse for sale at our Service Chevrolet dealership, where you’ll also find a friendly and knowledgeable team ready to help you find the right trim level for your lifestyle and driving needs. Keep reading to learn more about the trim levels the Chevrolet Traverse offers, and then stop by to talk with a member of our team and see this dynamic SUV up close.
Exploring the Chevrolet Traverse
The Traverse isn’t the largest SUV in the Chevy lineup, with the Tahoe and Suburban ahead of it, but it still offers a number of exciting features across its four trim levels. Plus, the Chevy Traverse was awarded #1 for “New Vehicle Quality among Upper Midsize SUVs” by J.D. Power for the 2024 model year, which gives you increased peace of mind that you’re getting a solid vehicle that will last for a long time. Other honors it received were best-in-class cargo volume, measuring in at 98 cu.ft. when the second and third rows are folded down, and a best-in-class standard 17.7-inch diagonal color touch screen for three-row midsize SUVs. Last but not least, you’ll find comfortable seating for up to eight people as well as a smart and stylish interior design that puts everything you need right at your fingertips.
Chevrolet Traverse LS
For the 2024 model year, the LS is the base trim, with an MSRP of just under $40,000.[a] The LS trim comes with the same 2.5L four-cylinder engine that is in all the trim levels and the ability to choose all-wheel drive over the standard front-wheel drive if you would like. On the exterior, you’ll find heated power-adjustable mirrors, LED headlamps, an AutoSense power liftgate, and 18-inch all-season blackwall tires.
When looking at the LS trim, you’ll find that it comes standard with the Convenience Package. This package includes heated driver and front passenger seats, which work alongside the heated outside mirrors to give you both comfort and better visibility on chillier mornings, as well as a heated steering wheel and remote start. It should be noted that the LS does not offer the option of second-row captain’s chairs, so its seating capacity is eight. The 17.7-inch diagonal advanced color LCD display with Google built-in compatibility mentioned above, along with an 11-inch Driver Information Center, are both standard, ensuring you can listen to your favorite playlist, get turn-by-turn directions, and much more with ease.
Finally, Chevy Safety Assist is standard across all four trims, giving you driver assistance safety features like Forward Collision Alert, Rear Park Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Braking, just to name a few. Additionally, all trims come with Teen Driver and a Driver Confidence Package, which adds additional safety features like HD Surround Vision, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Side Bicyclist Alert.

Chevrolet Traverse LT
The Chevrolet Traverse LT comes with many of the same exterior features the LS offers, in addition to the option to add a panoramic power sunroof. If a sunroof isn’t on your must-have list, you can opt for roof rack cross rails instead. Regarding packages, there are some significant options offered at this trim level that can take your driving to the next level, including the Enhanced Driving Package. This package adds Super Cruise driver assistance technology, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, Driver Attention Assist, and a Bose premium audio system. The other package option you might like, especially if you plan to tow the family camper with your Traverse, is the Trailering Package. This package adds a heavy-duty cooling system, Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, and a factory-installed hitch with hitch cover. In case you’re wondering, you’re able to tow up to 5,000 lbs when this package is installed.
On the inside, you’ll find the same standard Driver Information Center and the LCD Display with Google built-in compatibility that was in the LS trim. What you won’t find in the LS trim, however, is standard wireless charging. Additionally, the LT is equipped with the Convenience and Driver Confidence packages, which were mentioned above.
Chevrolet Traverse Z71
The Z71 is a new trim option for the 2024 model year, giving the Traverse more off-road capabilities than ever before. The Z71 stands on its own, with a lifted suspension, twin-clutch all-wheel driving system, all terrain tires, and specialized 18-inch wheels. It also makes its presence known with a High Gloss Black Sporty Grille, High Gloss Black roof-mounted side rails, and High Gloss Black upper door moldings. Like the LT trim, you can also opt for the panoramic power sunroof as well as the Enhanced Driving package. The Trailering package mentioned above is standard at this trim level. To round out this trim, you’ll find wireless charging, room for seven, and the features found in the Convenience and Driver Confidence packages.
Chevrolet RS
Last but not least, the RS trim level is at the top, coming in with an MSRP of just under $56,000.[a] For that price, you’ll get a unique look that is race-inspired, with 22-inch wheels, a sport-focused suspension system, and black exterior trim. Additionally, the RS is the only trim that offers standard heated power-folding outside mirrors. This trim also gives you the ability to drive hands-free thanks to the Enhanced Driving Package—which is standard at this trim level—making the base LS trim the only one without that capability. Also standard is the Trailering package.
On the inside, you’ll find the 17.7-inch LCD display and 11-inch Driver Information Center that are standard throughout the trims, as well as the features offered with the Convenience and Driver Confidence packages. Additions to the interior at this level include ventilated driver and front passenger seats, a power tilt and telescoping steering column, perforated leather-appointed seat trim, and a power 60/40 split-folding third-row bench seat.
