Exploring the 2024 Chevy Suburban: Space and Comfort

Ever since its conception in 1935, the Suburban has proven itself a favorite of the public, and for good reason! The model continues to be improved each and every year, and the 2024 iteration is no different. Let’s break down some of the 2024 Chevy Suburban’s most exciting features.

Exploring the 2024 Chevy Suburban: Space and Comfort

A New Standard for Interior Comfort

Perhaps the most important aspect of any car for the American consumer is the interior, and this newest Suburban is happy to deliver. To begin with, the driver and front passenger are given a spacious environment.

Both of these positions also come standard as bucket seats, ensuring a comfortable and jostle-free ride over many different terrain types. Adding to this atmosphere are the dual cloth choices: the classic sleek black interior, or a refreshing gray contrast. On trims higher than standard, these benefits can be supplemented by a heated steering wheel! On top of all of this, higher trims even include a 9- or 10-speaker Bose audio system. Whoever said that ruggedness and comfort can’t be travel companions?

Cargo Hauling Made Easy

Even with all the previously listed features, we know that what makes a Suburban a Suburban is the long tradition of plentiful room for cargo. Of course, as in other areas, the 2024 model doesn’t skimp on extra space.

From those looking for a comfortable furniture-mover to those loaded down with camping gear, the Suburban’s got you covered. A roomy 144.7 cu. ft. of space is available with the rear seats folded down, making it best-in-class in this category. Additionally, the leg room alone for rear passengers is certainly enough to comfortably keep those backpacks and bags of road trip snacks within arm’s reach.

The Raw Stats

For those interested in things like engine speeds, torque, and wheel diameter, we’ve got you covered. Every trim (except for the High Country) comes stock with a classic 5.3L V8 engine capable of producing 355 horsepower at 5600 rpm and a 10-speed automatic transmission. For those steep hills and heavy loads, this translates to 383 lb-ft of torque at 4100 rpm. Starting at the RST trim, buyers are given another option to have a 3.0L Duramax Turbo Diesel engine fitted instead, boasting 460 lb-ft of torque at 1500 rpm. For the wheels, 18-inch is the standard size, though these increase in diameter sequentially through the trims to a peak of 22-inch wheels on the High Country.
