Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking

This system is always active and uses forward-facing radar to identify a vehicle in front of you. The vehicle’s distance and speed are assessed and compared to your Chevy’s speed to determine if a collision risk exists.

If the system determines the distance between the vehicles is closing too rapidly, a warning sounds, and a warning icon appears on your screen. If you don’t brake fast enough, automatic emergency braking is applied to stop your vehicle and prevent a collision.

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning

This feature helps keep your Chevy inside its lane at all times, except for when you actively choose to change lanes. A camera identifies the lane lines, and the system will send an immediate warning if your wheels cross into another lane if you don’t have an active direction indicator. A warning sign appears on your screen to warn that you’re moving into another lane unintentionally.

If you don’t turn back into your lane, the system will gently turn the steering wheel to direct your Chevy into its original lane again.

Following Distance Indicator

When driving, it’s essential to keep a safe distance from any vehicle ahead. This gives you enough time to respond if the other vehicle brakes or turns.  You can set this system to maintain a specific distance from any vehicle in front of you. Once the distance is specified, the system uses radar to determine if the distance is closing and will gently apply the brakes until the following distance increases again.

IntelliBeam Auto High Beams

You often need high beams are night to allow you to see more clearly. Unfortunately, high beams have a blinding effect on any driver heading toward you. When you reach down to switch to low beams, you take your eyes off the road and this can lead to an accident.

Sensors detect approaching headlights and automatically switch your headlights to low beams. Once the oncoming headlights have passed, the system reverts to high beams again.

Front Pedestrian Braking

This system activates if the camera detects a person or animal moving in front of your Chevy. It then activates emergency braking to bring your vehicle to an instant stop.
