1. Kart Ranch

3. Sky Zone

4. Clayfish Bisque
Pottery painting for everyone! Choose to paint tiles, coffee mugs, figurines, plates, piggy banks, and more. There are templates, stamps, and stencils available as well as every color you could imagine. Staff will fire it up to set the colors, and you can pick up your project a week later.
5. Zoosiana
A child-sized zoo that’s just 20 minutes outside town, it surprisingly has over 750 different kinds of animals, including giraffes, lions, and llamas.
6. Children’s Museum of Acadiana
There are so many hands-on exhibits here for the kids. They can visit the dentist, go grocery shopping, explore a real ambulance, and a whole lot more. While this is geared toward younger kids, older ones may enjoy the Science Museum right next door.
7. Science Museum
While the older kids may enjoy this more than the Children’s Museum, there is still quite a bit for younger kids to enjoy, as well. It has dinosaurs, a virtual aquarium, a planetarium, and more.
8. Evangeline State Park
Where the prairie meets the swamp, this park has so much to offer for families to enjoy. There is some fascinating history. There’s a mansion to explore that belonged to wealthy Creoles and a small cabin that belonged to poor Acadians to compare it to.
9. Vermilionville
This is an entire historic 18th-century village to explore. It has 23 acres of period homes, a school, a blacksmith, a church, and much more. There are employees in costumes strolling around and ready to answer questions.
10. Acadian Village
This is a Cajun bayou community from the 19th century. In addition to authentic homes you can explore, there is also a Native American museum and lots of Pokemon Go creatures on the 32 acres.
