From community craft fairs to music events, everyone can find the right entertainment this year.

Lafayette Mini Maker Faire 2018

If you love learning and making things from scratch, this festival in downtown Lafayette is a great choice. You will find family-friendly shows, demonstrations by artists, engineers, and scientists, and get a glimpse of future technologies. On March 24, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., you can see unique experiments at the Lafayette Science Museum.

2018 Baton Rouge Blues Festival 

For Blues lovers, this festival offers great performances and a fantastic atmosphere. On April 14, the all-weekend music event in downtown Baton Rouge will provide VIP treatment for festivalgoers. Festival International de Louisiane

This free outdoor festival is held on several stages around downtown Lafayette. Held this year between April 25 and 29, some of the best artists of Louisiana will visit and entertain the crowd. Clear your diary and treat yourself to a five-day festival of world music. The international music festival has 300,000 visitors each year and offers a variety of entertainment for all ages. The event also features a 5K race, starting from Jefferson Street, at 8 a.m. and registration is already open.

Bayou Round Up

If you love vintage cars, live music, great food, and hot rods, you need to look out for the schedule of the Bayou Round Up in 2018, released later in the year. The show is usually held at the Blackham Coliseum, and kids under 12 can attend free.  Enjoy the natural scenery, take part in the celebration, or simply enjoy local food and enjoy live music. Visit the venue to see the lineup of unique and restored vintage cars, and soak in the atmosphere of Lafayette.
