Festival International de Louisiane is a non-profit organization that brings a variety of unique performers from around the world to Louisiana. Festival International is held every year in downtown Lafayette and emphasizes the connection between the Francophone world and culture and Acadiana. The organization is committed to keeping the festival non-ticketed and free to the general public, because uniting the community of Louisiana is at the heart of their mission.
The festival features visual art, theater, unique food, and exhibits along with music artists from over 48 states and 10 countries! Over a 100 performances take place over 5 days on 8 stages throughout Lafayette. Over 300,000 people from around the country attend this massive festival every year, and the estimated economic impact is $49 million.
Outside from performances, you can also participate in other activities at the festival including the Courir du Festival 5K run/walk, which helps support Festival International. If you are a musician, there’s also the LIME event, or Louisiana International Music Exchange. This event promotes & presents Louisiana musicians to industry professionals that come from around the world, and includes music showcases, industry panels & networking.
