2019 Chevy Tahoe in red driving at nightThe large Chevy Tahoe SUV comes with a long list of standard features and lots of additional options. There are lots of reasons to drive the Tahoe, including the power it has for towing and hauling gear, the spacious cabin, and the cargo space. The 2020 model has just a few minor changes to the features available for each of the trim levels. Here are some reasons why the 2020 Chevy Tahoe is the SUV for you.

The Power

The base engine for the 2019 Tahoe is a 5.3-liter V-8 that generates 355 horsepower. Bumping up to the Premier gets you a 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower. You can get this engine with the other models as part of the 6.2L Performance Package, which is a new option for the 2020 model year. If you need the power to tow a camper, a boat, or other recreational equipment, the Tahoe could be for you. It comes standard with a 2-inch receiver, and it can handle up to 8,600 pounds.

The Cabin Space

There is space in the Tahoe’s cabin for a few as five people and up to nine. Standard seating fits eight, but you can get a bench seat in the base model to increase this to nine, or you can get rid of the third row if you only need room for five. The second row has a bench seat, but you can opt for captain’s chairs. In the back, there are over 15 cubic feet behind the third row, and if you only have two rows of seats, there are 51.7 cubic feet in the back. With all the seats folded down, the cargo area can hold up to 94.7 cubic feet of gear.

For easy access to the rear seat, the Luxury Package adds a power-folding second-row and also has a power-folding third row.

The Safety Systems

Safety is important, but when you have a car full of passengers, it’s even more essential. The Enhanced Driver Alert Package adds driver safety aids such as a vibrating safety-alert seat for the driver, forward collision alert, automatic low-speed braking, and automatic high beams. You also get lane keep assist as part of this package. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is also an available option with the Luxury package, and adaptive cruise control is an available option for the Premier trim.

The Technology

Everyone riding in the Tahoe can stay connected with the 4G LTE Wi-Fi. An 8-inch touch-screen display with Bluetooth capabilities sits in the center, and you’ll get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with it. Satellite radio comes standard along with a USB port in the base trim. A rear-seat entertainment system comes with the Sun, Entertainment and Destinations Package.

The 2020 Chevy Tahoe is right for you if you need a large, comfortable SUV with plenty of towing power. The extra available features, standard safety equipment, and technology add to the list of reasons to drive this SUV. Browse our inventory to find yours today!
