2020 Chevrolet CorvetteThe Chevy Corvette arrived in the summer of 2019 as the first mid-engine Corvette ever. The new generation of this performance vehicle is a big deal, and it lives up to all the hype around it. The new mid-engine design allows for a much better performance than in past generations, while retaining the main characteristics that we love about it. Corvette only carried over one single part from the previous model, so this is truly a brand new vehicle. Here’s what you need to know about the 2020 Corvette.

The Trim Levels

Buyers can choose between three different trim levels with the new Corvette, and it will come in both a coupe and a convertible. The 1LT is the base model. Corvette designed this trim for driving purists who want a light car that still comes well-equipped. The 2LT adds comfort and convenience features, while the 3LT adds luxury. All models will have 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels, and come standard with all-season tires. Chevy offers the Corvette with four different brake caliper colors, so buyers can choose from black, bright red, Edge red, which is slightly darker, and yellow.
A Z51 package adds a rear spoiler and a new front splitter, and you can add an even larger rear wing if you want along with a ground-effects kit that has side skirts.

The Engine and Performance

The 2020 Corvette gets its power from an all-new LT2 V-8 engine with 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. It has a top speed of 194 mile per hour and comes with a dual-clutch transmission with lightning-fast shifts that have the smoothness of an automatic with the action of a manual. The Driver Mode Selector has a mode for every road surface and allows you to electronically calibrate up to 12 different performance variables. With the all-new My Mode and the Z-Mode, you can even personalize the Corvette’s performance and save the settings.

The Interior

Inside, the new Corvette is a driver’s dream. All the climate and infotainment controls are within easy reach of the driver and offer intuitive use. Chevy offers three different seat configurations so you can get the one that perfectly suits you. The GT1 seat comes wrapped in Mulan leather and provides comfort on long trips. Choose the GT2 for carbon-fiber trim and a seat back halo that all comes wrapped in Nappa leather. There is also a Competition Sport seat that has aggressive bolsters to hold you in place when you take your Corvette to the track.

New Features for 2020

New for 2020, a heated steering wheel is an available option along with driver’s seat memory settings. You can also get wireless charging for your devices and Bluetooth via NFC. The new Corvette also comes with a tire-fill warning system that has never been available on the Chevy performance vehicle before.

The all-new Corvette comes in three performance-tuned trim levels. The first-ever mid-engine Stingray has some of the most significant changes in the model’s history. Learn more about the 2020 Corvette visiting Service Chevrolet Cadillac on Dec. 19; or reserve yours today.
