We love our city of Lafayette, LA, and we especially love the variety of food to be found here. When you’re looking for a great burger, a cheesy pizza, fresh seafood, or good hometown Southern food, you’ll find it here. So go ahead and satisfy your appetite by visiting one of the following local restaurants. These are just a few of our favorites.

4 Local Restaurants in Driving Distance of Lafayette, LA

1. Half Shell Oyster House

This restaurant makes a great place for a date night. You’ll find upscale seafood, such as oysters, lobster, crab, and more. We recommend starting with an oyster sampler or the crab and shrimp dip. For an entree, you can’t go wrong with the softshell crab napoleon, the herb-encrusted mahi, or the seafood su gratin snapper. Ask about their specials as well. If you’re feeling more in the mood for a steak, they’ve got that too. Find them at 109 Old Camp Rd. Ste. 114.

2. Antoni’s Italian Cafe

Stop in for a tasty lunch or dinner here at Antoni’s, located at 1118 Coolidge St. A. When it’s a beautiful day, you can dine outside on their patio. Sip on a cocktail as your meal is being prepared. We love their thin-crust pizzas, but everything is tasty here. Try a cheesy calzone, a pasta dish, the filet mignon, salmon, quail, or steak. They are open every day except Sunday. Please drink responsibly and in moderation, and do not drink and drive.

3. Social Southern Table & Bar

This farm-to-table establishment prides itself on serving the best of the best when it comes to healthy and delicious cuisine. Try the fried green tomatoes, the biscuits and honey, or the Appalachian ground grits to start your meal. Then move on to the fire-roasted yard bird, the mushroom flatbread, or the grilled pork ribeye. If you’re looking for something vegetarian, try the beyond meat burger, which is made from plants. They are located at 1118 Coolidge St. A.

4. T-Coon’s

You can’t eat out in Louisiana without trying some Cajun food, and this is the place to be for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Relax in the cozy dining room and enjoy homemade sausage, bread, omelets, crawfish, red beans and rice, and so much more. They have lunch specials every day from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each dish is served with veggies and a bread roll. We suggest the catfish/shrimp combo or the crawfish etouffee. Visit them at 1900 W. Pinhook Rd.

When you’re out and about in town, do so in style. Drive a new 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS. Visit Service Chevrolet Cadillac, located at 1212 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, and ask our helpful staff about our specials and financing options. We can’t wait to meet you.
