The 2022 Chevy Tahoe is here, and it is a sight for sore eyes. With multiple sleek trim options, a new safety suite, and well-connected technological systems, the Tahoe continues to impress. Thank you Chevrolet for this impressive SUV creation.
1. 3.0L Turbo-Diesel Engine
The Tahoe, a 5-door 4WD SUV, now features the impressive Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine in select models. This powerful engine allows the vehicle to make 0-60mph in 8.2 seconds. This engine style is accompanied by a 10-speed transmission, making for a well-maneuvered drive.
Buyers can also choose the standard 355-horsepower V-8 or even a 420-horsepower V-8. That’s the beauty of the Tahoe: it is incredibly versatile, which brings us to our next feature.
2. Six Trim Options
The Tahoe continues to demonstrate versatility and luxury with six alluring trim models. The first trim option is the High Country, featuring 22-inch wheels and all-season tires, plus a signature grille among other features. We also see the Premier option, with a 10-speaker Bose system and Magnetic Ride Control. The Z71, the next option, has tubular assist steps in black along with recovery hooks.
The RST trim option features a jet black interior with red stitching, a black grille, and high-gloss 22-inch wheels. The LT model sports a 9-speaker Bose system and a wireless charging system. Finally, the LS features a luggage rack in chrome on top and 18-in wheels with all-season tires.
3. Adaptive Suspension
This impressive feature is available with the Z71 and High Country trim. The Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension creates a smooth drive, improved fuel economy, and more ground clearance for off-roading. This suspension can be manually adjusted and is also convenient for those who need a bit of help getting in and out of the vehicle.
4. 12.6-Inch Diagonal LCD Monitor
This monitor is featured on all models above the LS trim. This sleek technological update consists of a color touch-screen with Bluetooth streaming. The Tahoe pairs with Apple CarPlay here and Android Auto.
All trim levels include front and rear park assist, which you will see through this monitor. There is also an upgrade available for LT, RST, and Z71 to Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium that includes an additional high-tech navigation system.
5. Chevy Safety Assist
The new safety package holds the passenger in high regard with six main safety and driving assistance features. Here we have a forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking. We also find front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, and an Intellibeam auto high beam assist.
6. Google Built-In
With this new feature, drivers can utilize Google Assistant hands-free and access a variety of Google apps to help along the drive. Here we see Google Maps for finding your way and Google Play to connect you with all your other favorite apps.
