1. Jean Lafitte National Historical Park & Preserve-Acadian Cultural Center

This massive green space has plenty of trails to explore, relaxing places to picnic, fishing, and treehouses for the kids. There’s also an on-site dog park where your pets can roam free, or you can explore the rest of the park with leashed animals.

You can also get to Orlando Mountain from the park and see some of the best panoramic views in the city or pay your respects at the Veterans Memorial. Best of all, you can explore to your heart’s content for free.

Nature lovers will want to check out Azalea Trail, 1400 NW Evangeline Thwy.
