Trim Levels of the 2023 Chevy Malibu

Choosing between the four main trim levels for the 2023 Chevy Malibu can be a challenge. This car offers a lot of great standard features in the base trim level. However, it offers an even cushier ride as you upgrade. Here’s what you can expect from each trim.

Trim Levels of the 2023 Chevy Malibu

LS

The LS is the entry-level trim for the Malibu. Chevrolet has equipped the car with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine that is standard across the trim levels. It delivers a maximum of 160 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft of torque.

The Malibu also comes standard with Chevy Safety Assist, providing drivers with a forward collision alert and following distance indicator. The package also includes automatic emergency braking and front pedestrian braking with lane keep assist and a lane departure warning. Additionally, there is IntelliBeam, the automatic high beams from Chevrolet. The infotainment system includes an eight-inch diagonal color touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth streaming.

RS

The RS adds a lot of fun exterior features like 18-inch aluminum wheels and dual exhaust outlets. It also comes with bowtie emblems in black and black and red Malibu badges. There is a Chrome grille in the RS surrounded by black grille inserts.

LT

The LT adds a plushier interior with heated front passenger seats. It also adds LED daytime running lamps and outside heated power-adjustable body-color mirrors. The LT comes with 17-inch aluminum wheels.

2LT

The 2LT adds a lot more features. The infotainment system adds navigation, which is not available for any of the other trim levels. The front passenger seat gets an upgrade to a six-way power model. The exterior adds 19-inch aluminum wheels and LED headlamps.

What’s most interesting about the 2LT are the features that become exclusively available for this trim. The available driver confidence and cruise package adds automatic parking assist, adaptive cruise control, and enhanced automatic emergency braking. The available driver memory feature adds the ability to recall two different driver presets for the eight-way power seat and outside mirrors.

Available Driver Confidence Package

This package is available for every trim level. Be careful not to mistake it for the similarly named driver confidence and cruise package, exclusively available for the 2LT. The driver confidence package adds rear park assist and a lane change alert paired with a side blind zone alert.

The available package also adds a rear cross-traffic alert. For the LS, this package adds the body-color power outside mirrors.
