Discover What 2018 Cadillac Models Have to Offer
Cadillac has manufactured some of the most luxurious models of the 21st century. Each passing year sheds light on new updates and innovations that stand to make these cars better than their predecessors. With that said, here’s a look at four Cadillacs that have undergone big changes for 2018.
Cadillac CT6
If you notice a change in exterior paint options from last year’s CT6 sedan, it’s because Cadillac has decided to axe some of its previous colors like Moonstone Metallic and Dark Emerald Metallic in favor of adding shades like Satin Steel Metallic and Red Horizon Tintcoat.
The interior gets a few updates too, including the 2.6 version of the brand’s trademark CUE infotainment system. You can now utilize CUE Collection to search for and install apps on the system’s touch-screen display. Another added benefit is Teen Driver, which lets you limit things like speed and audio levels while your teen is in the driver’s seat. You’ll also get a report card of your teen’s performance so you can monitor their driving habits. This improved CUE system carries over to the CT6 Plug-In model as well.
Cadillac ATS
Changes to the ATS sedan and coupe are a bit extensive in terms of what gets taken off of the amenity lineup. You won’t have exterior paints like Deep Amethyst Metallic and Bronze Dune Metallic anymore, but you can have Satin Steel Metallic if you don’t mind the extra cost.
The Carbon Black and Black Sport Appearance packages are also gone in 2018, but you do gain the third version of Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system to offset some of these removals. In fact, this impressive bundle offers features such as navigation, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, smartphone integration, and the CUE Collection app store.
Meet the New 2018 Chevrolet Corvettes
A classic performance vehicle, the Chevrolet Corvette is a prime example of what a sports coupe/convertible should feel like. It not only showcases a high-end look ideal for the track, but it also impresses with its powerful engine output and luxurious cabin. Here’s everything you need to know about Chevy’s 2018 Corvette lineup.
Stingray
The flashy Stingray knows it’s a natural head-turner wherever it goes. The exterior is adorned with HID headlamps and optional racing stripes for a super sporty appearance. The interior is just as impressive with its modern amenities, including GT bucket seats, a Bose sound system, and a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
Under the hood, a 6.2-liter direct-injection V-8 outputs 455 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. These increase by 5 when equipped with an optional performance exhaust or Z51 Performance Package. This bundle includes a performance suspension, Brembo brake rotors, and enhanced cornering ability.
Grand Sport
This vehicle runs with the same V-8 as the Corvette Stingray and reaches 460 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. It accelerates from zero to 60 mph in a mere 3.6 seconds, and it excels in terms of vehicle stability thanks to an electric power steering system and electronic limited-slip differential.
The outside is quite upscale too, with design features such as exclusive front fender badging and Michelin Pilot performance tires surrounding the body. Meanwhile, the interior stands out with aluminum and carbon-fiber upholstery, plus power-adjustable bucket seats and a Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system.
