Alexandre Mouton House

Located at 1122 Lafayette Street, the Alexander Mouton House is a Greek-Revival home that dates back to 1820. It was built by Jean Mouton, who later founded the city of Lafayette in 1821. The house is now Lafayette Museum, and it contains a collection of period furnishing and cultural and historical memorabilia.

It also houses a collection of art and treasured artifacts. The museum is also rented out for weddings and birthday parties. Alexandre Mouton House is open for visitors and group tours from Tuesdays to Saturdays.

Chevrolet has helped to empower the next generation of major league talent through various youth sports initiatives, including instructional clinics, donating equipment, providing uniforms and more since 2006.

Flash forward to present day and over 16.4 million kids across the U.S. have participated in the Chevy Youth Baseball program. Which has sponsored 2,800 free youth clinics, given 28,285 league enhancements, and donated 262,000 sports kits, and for 2022 Chevy strives to reach more than ever!

Service Chevrolet Cadillac has joined forces with the Chevy Youth Baseball program again this year to provide new equipment and 2 FREE instructional clinics to the kids in our community! The clinics will be instructed by former MLB/MiLB players/coaches. Each clinic divides participants by age group, and then each subgroup rotates through educational stations to learn the ins and outs of hitting, fielding, pitching, and more. Your car air filter is responsible for trapping dirt and debris in the air that flows into your engine. Your engine requires enormous quantities of air for efficient combustion, but it also has to be protected against contamination from the outside air. As the filter works, it starts to fill up with dirt. As your Chevy dealer in Lafayette, LA, we’d like you to know the signs you need a replacement filter.

A Strong Smell of Gas

For combustion to take place, you need fuel, air, and a spark. Air flows in through the radiator, fuel enters the chamber when you step on the gas, and the spark is provided by the spark plugs. Combustion requires clean air, and the perfect ratio of air to fuel is 14:1. Your air filter will clean the air flowing into the chamber, but this filter will block up which will dramatically reduce the airflow into your engine.

Without enough air, the combustion chamber becomes fuel-rich. An environment like this makes combustion difficult, and much of the fuel in the chamber won’t be burnt up. This wasted fuel is forced out of the chamber and exits through your exhaust. The presence of excess fuel in the chamber causes some of this fuel vapor to waft into your cabin. There will also be a strong smell of fuel from the exhaust from the excess fuel that’s been dumped.
