LARC’s Acadian Village
Explore the culture and history of the area around Lafayette with a trip to LARC’S Acadian Village. You can tour the village Monday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. There are two different tour options available. Explore the property at your own pace with a paid, self-guided tour in English or French. Entry is free for children under four and military with ID have free entry, while students under age 17 pay $6.51. Adults pay $8.68, except seniors who get a discount at $7.59. Here’s What You Need to Know About the 2020 Corvette
The Chevy Corvette arrived in the summer of 2019 as the first mid-engine Corvette ever. The new generation of this performance vehicle is a big deal, and it lives up to all the hype around it. The new mid-engine design allows for a much better performance than in past generations, while retaining the main characteristics that we love about it. Corvette only carried over one single part from the previous model, so this is truly a brand new vehicle. Here’s what you need to know about the 2020 Corvette.
The Trim Levels
Buyers can choose between three different trim levels with the new Corvette, and it will come in both a coupe and a convertible. The 1LT is the base model. Corvette designed this trim for driving purists who want a light car that still comes well-equipped. The 2LT adds comfort and convenience features, while the 3LT adds luxury. All models will have 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels, and come standard with all-season tires. Chevy offers the Corvette with four different brake caliper colors, so buyers can choose from black, bright red, Edge red, which is slightly darker, and yellow.

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Tour will make an exclusive appearance on Thursday, Dec. 19, at Service Chevrolet Cadillac, 1212 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy Lafayette, LA.
The tour will give Acadiana residents a chance to see the first-ever mid-engine production Corvette. This new American sports car will offer an unbeatable combination of performance, design, technology, and craftsmanship.
In addition to a hands-on look at the new Corvette, there will be numerous interactive displays to enjoy. Vehicle specialists will be on hand to answer questions, display customizable parts (seats, wheels, accessories, etc.), and teach visitors how to personalize their own Corvette. VIP Early Access will be from 10 a.m. – noon. The event continues from 1-6 p.m. for the public.
“This exclusive tour gives Corvette enthusiasts the opportunity to engage with the all-new 2020 Corvette Stingray in their own city before it officially hits showroom floors,” said Brian Sweeney, Chevrolet U.S. vice president. “We designed the tour with fans in mind and are thrilled for them to be some of the first to see the mid-engine Corvette at their local dealership.”

Christmas Fest is slated for Thursday, Dec. 5, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in our service lanes at the dealership, 1212 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy., Lafayette. Food and drinks will also be available for sale. Festive activities are planned, including: Pictures with Santa, a screening of the movie Elf, Ornament Decorating, Story Time with Santa, Train Rides, and more.

The Tahoe and the Suburban are very similar vehicles in the Chevy lineup. The most significant difference between the two is the size, with the Suburban offering a much larger cargo area. The Size
The Suburban is one of the largest SUVs you can find on the market. If you have a large family and you need to haul a lot of gear, this is the SUV for you. It offers a total of 121.7 cubic feet of cargo space if you fold down both the second and the third-row seats. With all the seats up, the Suburban has a 39.3 cubic cargo area, which is significantly larger than the Tahoe, which has 15.3 cubic feet back there. With both back rows folded down, the smaller Tahoe opens up to provide 94.7 cubic feet of storage area.
One of the most popular outdoor activities in the fall involves being alone in the woods. Hunting is an extremely popular hobby and some are even competitive with their craft. Pass A Loutre Wildlife Management Area
This area is accessible only by boat and there are numerous marshes, nooks, and crannies that wildlife can hide in. That makes it an ideal spot for duck hunting. The ducks flock to the area because there is a near-constant supply of food with submerged vegetation because of the intertwining waterways. Here you can snag your fair share of a variety of fowl including the prized mallards.
